LAND-BASED SHOP FACILITIES

Lehigh Maritime’s water-based structural repair of vessels and infrastructure, carried out as needed at sites all around New York Harbor, is logistically supported by our landside full-service fabrication shop on the Brooklyn waterfront. Our location in Atlantic Basin, just off the Buttermilk Channel, gives us the ability to mobilize, transload, and site-deliver all manner of construction and operations equipment and materials, including lift and boom trucks, compressor units, pile installation equipment including vibratory driving and extraction hammers, fabricated pile/fender/pier/ramp sections, and related material or install-ready project components.

With an indoor 80’x150’ fabrication shop space, we are able to offer a wide range of metalworking and other fabrication services, material handling and barge/vessel loading infrastructure, as well as the capacity to stockpile or stage materials to meet our customers’ needs. Our floating dry dock, while mobile, is generally situated in the basin adjacent to our shop, essentially creating a full service micro-shipyard. Operating a full complement of welding machines, cutting and fitting tools, forklifts, cranes, and other conventional shop infrastructure,  we retain a staff of qualified welders and experienced fabricators to support everything from minor vessel engineering and component repair to substantial engineered structural fabrication and project support for marine construction services.
